My name is Heather Cheney and I am the owner of Sugar Smitten Sweets. We are a small cake decorating business that specializes in creative and unique cakes and desserts. I personally do the majority of the baking and decorating and am occasionally assisted by my husband, Ammon, for some of the trickier tasks.

I've been decorating cakes for the last 5 years and have loved the challenge and reward it is to create cakes that really stand out in a crowd.

I started decorating simple wedding cakes just after graduating from culinary school with a class-mate and it didn't take long before my friends and family decided to challenge me with crazy cake designs. With a little (okay, a lot of help) from my hubby and a few long nights of trial and error, we came out conqueror with our first sculpted cakes - not bad eh? We've learned a lot since then, but we are still pretty proud of ourselves :)

If you have an idea for a cake, let me hear it. I'd love a chance to figure out a way to make it happen.

We are staying small right now, working out of a licensed commercial kitchen and take orders by phone, email, or by appointment. For larger and very creative cakes, it is usually best to meet in person. Consultations are free and are scheduled Tues- Sat. 2:00-6:00pm.- complimentary cake tastings are included upon request.
